Sunrise Service. Community churches join together in Idyllwild for Sunrise Service every Easter at Inspiration Point. Easter marks the resurrection of Jesus three days after his death by crucifixion. By this, he conquered death and redeemed us from sin.
Each year Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus with the rising of the sun. We gather at Inspiration Point to commemorate the sacrifice Jesus made for us. His resurrection means we can have a meaningful relationship with God the Father and experience everlasting life.
He is not here; he has risen! (Luke 24:6-7); I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. (John 11:25-26); Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. (1 Peter 1:3); And God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by his power. (1 Cor. 6:14); Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. (Rom. 8:34); The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. (Rom. 6:8-11)
Sanctuary Service. Sunrise Service is followed by services in the sanctuary at Idyllwild Community Church at 9:30 a.m. Breakfast is served at 8:30 a.m. All are welcome.
