And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so. ...And God saw that it was good. (Gen. 1:24-25)
The righteous care for the needs of their animals, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel. (Prov. 12:10) But ask the animals, and they will teach you... (Job 12:7)
Importance of Animals. God created animals before he created people. When Jesus was born, it was in a stable with animals. It is clear from the many scriptures related to animals that God considers them an important part of his creation. Dogs, in particular, play an important role in many people's lives. Not only do they serve as companions, they also have an amazing healing influence on people. Dogs are also part of our mountain culture. Animal lovers are remarkable people, and we welcome them and their wonderful companions to the Community Church.
Fellowship Hall. Members, visitors, and their dogs attend Sunday services in the Fellowship Hall located in the lower level of the church. You and your companion may come in through the front door of the building and head downstairs or come in through the double doors via the parking area behind the church.
Large Screen TV. We have seating and a large screen TV on the wall so attendees can watch the services live as they occur upstairs. They can then participate in the socializing with everyone from the main sanctuary as they make their way to Fellowship Hall or the patio area (depending on the weather) that occurs after services are over.
